The Great Indian Kapil Show returned for a fifth season on Netflix on Sept. 26, with one new episode a week. Four have aired, and the fifth is listed for Oct. 24. Here is who has sat on Kapil Sharma's couch so far, drawn from the episode listings and entertainment coverage.

Episode by episode

According to the tracker WeTrakr, which reproduces Netflix's episode descriptions, the season runs to five episodes at roughly an hour each.

Episode 1, titled "Hassi Ka Tyohaar - With Ajay Devgn," streamed on Sept. 26. The description says Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat and the cast of Drishyam 3 opened the season.

Episode 2, "Into the Vvan," followed on Oct. 3. It features Tamannaah Bhatia, Sidharth Malhotra and the cast of The Vvaan - Force Of The Forrest.

Episode 3, "Beyond the Boundary," arrived on Oct. 10. The listing says Ravi Shastri made his debut on the show with Sunil Gavaskar for cricket banter and locker-room secrets.

Episode 4, "Royally Funny," is the Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan episode, listed for Oct. 17. Its description promises 14 years of couple quirks and rare revelations.

Episode 5 is listed for Oct. 24, with no title or guest named on the page we read.

The regulars

WeTrakr lists the main cast as Kapil Sharma as host, Sunil Grover as Chumbak Mittal, Krishna Abhishek as Air Hostess Mona, Kiku Sharda as Dhaniya Lal and Archana Puran Singh. The Hindustan Times mentions Kapil joking about Archana Puran Singh in the Saif and Kareena promo.

The Saif and Kareena episode

The Times of India reports it is the first time the couple appear on the show together, though each has been a guest alone. The Hindustan Times says the promo released by Netflix showed Kapil asking about the secret of staying "forever young and fresh," and Saif joking about a bedtime ghee ritual. India Today reports that the episode followed the couple's 14th wedding anniversary on Oct. 16.

How the season has been built

The first three episodes tie to releases and events: the cast of a major film at the season's start, the cast of a new film second, and cricket commentators third. The pattern, as the listings show, is a mix of film promotion and celebrity conversation. That is our reading of the listings and not a statement from Netflix.

Where to watch

The season streams on Netflix, with new episodes on Saturdays according to the listings. A search summary of the schedule gives the time as 8 p.m. IST, but we have not confirmed that with Netflix.

What we could not confirm

We could not confirm the Oct. 24 guest, the episode count beyond the tracker's five, or the release time. We relied on WeTrakr's listing, which is a third-party tracker, for the episode titles and dates, and the outlets named above for the Saif and Kareena details. We did not watch the episodes. The runtime figures come from the tracker and may differ from Netflix's. The tracker lists some ages for cast members, which we have left out as unverified.
